Adopt a - Plant
A Plant in your house
THOUGHTS

If you have a pet, that’s wonderful. Pets offer companionship, comfort, and emotional therapy. But if, in addition to that, you adopt a plant, the benefit can be even greater.
A plant is a direct source of life.
It produces oxygen—our most fundamental requirement for survival. It needs no food, only water and sunlight. Choose a small plant, preferably one that does not grow beyond 10 feet, and ideally one that can comfortably live inside your home or room.
Plants carry energy. They possess a quiet, therapeutic presence.
Have you ever wondered why people are naturally drawn to nature? Why holidays so often mean beaches, mountains, forests, or countryside retreats? It’s because we were once inseparable from nature. We are not visitors to it—we are part of it. Trees, flowers, rivers, soil—these were once our natural environment.
Bringing a plant into your home is a way of reconnecting with that origin.
Yet, in the modern world, something strange has happened. Despite the abundance and beauty of real plants and flowers, we fill our homes with artificial trees and plastic plants. Sadly, there are likely more fake plants in modern houses than real ones—simply because real plants are often thought of as “outdoor-only” decorations.
This belief is wrong.
There are many plants that thrive indoors, and there are plenty of suitable options available. Do not buy plastic—we already have enough of it in our lives. Instead, bring real, living plants into your home.
One good example is the snake plant.
The snake plant, also known as mother-in-law’s tongue, is especially suitable for placement in bedrooms and indoor spaces. This plant absorbs carbon dioxide and converts it into oxygen. As a result, while you sleep, snake plants help improve indoor air quality.
They also play a role in removing harmful airborne chemicals such as xylene, toluene, and trichloroethylene from the air inside your home.
In a world increasingly filled with artificial substitutes, choosing a real plant is a small but meaningful act. It brings life, balance, and a subtle form of healing into your personal space.
Adopt a plant.
Care for it.
Let it quietly remind you that you are still connected to nature.
